Steam Deck Release Date

The Steam Deck officially went on sale on February 25, 2022, with the first batch of handhelds shipped out starting February 28, 2022^{[1][2][3][4][5][7]}. Customers with existing reservations received invites to complete their orders beginning on release day, and additional invitations continued to be sent out in batches based on the order of reservations^[1][4]. The launch initially covered North America and European regions^[2].
